You may order online by going to the Subscribe section of USMLEasy. For help regarding the status of your subscription order or renewal, call toll-free in the U.S. 1-888-307-5984; from outside the U.S., call 1-614-759-3654 between 8 AM and 5 PM Eastern Time. How do I get help with my subscription?

What if I forget my user name and/or password?
You can retrieve your login information by clicking the "Forgot your username/password" link on the home page and entering your e-mail address. Or, call the Help Desk

We will ask for your name and address, and will access your account online. We will then e-mail the user name for your account to the e-mail address supplied upon registration. Since passwords are encrypted, we cannot determine your original password. We will change your password to a generic password, e-mail that to your specified e-mail address, and then you have the option to change your password.

When does my subscription start?
Your subscription starts as soon as your payment clears. For subscriptions ordered online with a credit card, this will be as soon as the credit card transaction is complete. For orders mailed or faxed to our Order Department, this will be when your payment is recorded; you will receive e-mail notification when the subscription begins.

Can I extend my subscription?
Yes. You can purchase a 2-month extension. Note that you may only extend your subscription to the step that you purchased initially.

If I extend my original access one time can I extend it a second (third, etc.) time?
Yes, there are no limits to the amount of times you can pay to extend access to your account.

How can I evaluate the site before I make a purchase decision?
You can take a sample exam for each step and view sample performance profiles.

How private is the information that I supply in my registration form?
The information that you supply is covered by McGraw-Hill's Privacy Policy and is used to provide you with the best possible service for USMLEasy. For more details on McGraw-Hill's Privacy Policy, please click on the "Privacy Policy" link at the bottom of any screen in USMLEasy.

Can I share my individual subscription with others?
No. Individual subscriptions are licensed only to the user who purchased the subscription. When you agreed to the Terms of Service Agreement, you agreed to keep your User Name and Password confidential.

How do I change information in my personal profile, for example, a new address or telephone number?
E-mail the new information to our Customer Service department at usmleasy_feedback@mhedu.com. Please include your username in the e-mail.

Can USMLEasy accommodate multi-user licenses by IP address or User Name/Password configurations?

I'm an AccessMedicine subscriber yet I can't log in to USMLEasy.
AccessMedicine users receive the lite version of USMLEasy as part of their subscription. The Lite version includes fewer questions than USMLEasy subscribers enjoy. To access USMLEasy Lite, you must first enter AccessMedicine and log into "My AccessMedicine" by clicking on the "My AccessMedicine" tab. Once you are authenticated, click on USMLEasy logo on the AccessMedicine homepage. Go to myAccessMedicine.


Display/Browser Support

Why don't I see more of the page?
How much of the page you see depends on your monitor screen resolution. We recommend viewing at a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 (for best results) or 800 x 600.

Which browsers and platforms are supported? Which are not supported?
USMLEasy currently supports the Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser (6.0 and later), Netscape Navigator browser (7.1 and later), and Mozilla Firefox browser on the MS Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Apple's Safari browser is NOT SUPPORTED at this time.

Can I safely use pop-up blockers on the site?
No. Please disable all pop-up blockers. Some core content, including notes and lab values, appears in pop-up windows.


Site Functionality

How can I clear my question history so that I can start with a clean slate?
On your Performance Profile page you can elect to clear your history by clicking the "Clear Now" link. Once done, the system will count all questions as unanswered and your scoring history will be completely erased. Please note that individual subscribers can clear their history only once.

How can I make sure that I see all of the questions in the database?
Make sure to select "Unanswered Questions Only" from the Create Exam page. Then, when you select questions by discipline, you'll be able to calculate the number of unanswered questions remaining in that discipline. Choose some or all of those questions for each discipline until there are none remaining.

I think I found an error in a question. What do I do?
The questions in USMLEasy undergo extensive editing. To report errors, please send an e-mail to usmleasy_feedback@mhedu.com. Be sure to include the question ID. We appreciate your cooperation in making USMLEasy a more useful service.

What's the difference between the Lite and full versions of USMLEasy?
USMLEasy Lite is available for all AccessMedicine subscribers. Users of the full version have access to a much larger set of questions and the ability to customize their exams and track their progress over time.
